Game News Assassin’s Creed: Another report from Ubisoft?

Recently, Ubisoft announced the postponement of many titles. Today, one of them has been identified.

After Avatar, fate falls on Assassin’s Creed

Definitely, the last quarterly report of Ubisoft gave a lot of information to players about the future of the French publisher. In particular, we learned that four games have been purely and simply canceled, starting with Splinter Cell VR, but also Ghost Recon Frontline, a Battle Royale yet recently announced. That’s not all, in the process, the brand also claims that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will not take advantage of the theatrical release of Avatar 2 to make a name for itself, since the title is postponed to the fiscal year. 2023/2024… Suffice to say that we will have time to see it coming. But that’s not all…

In addition to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Ubisoft also claims that an unannounced “premium” game, originally slated for this fiscal year, is also seeing its release date pushed back. With such an announcement, players quickly thought of the next Assassin’s Creed which is always desired, and rightly so…

Rift misses the mark

It is once again the very well informed Jason Schreier who confirms the many speculations of the players. The Bloomberg journalist, after having denied the recent rumors concerning the arrival of an episode among the Aztecs, indeed takes the floor to announce what we had all guessed: the next Assassin’s Creed, codenamed Rift, has been pushed back.

This adventure, presented as a stand-alone to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, was, on paper, expected for February 2023. But unfortunately, this episode which is supposed to feature the assassin Basim and make us travel to Baghdad has been postponed according to the journalist. According to the latter, therefore, the game could land on our favorite platforms in May or June 2023.

We imagine that we will know more on September 10 since, remember, Ubisoft had given us an appointment to tell us more about the future of the license which, for the moment, remains very enigmatic.
